Andy Burnham left a personal message and a wreath at the London 9/11 memorial gardens, marking 25 years since the terror attacks that shocked the world.
US Ambassador Warren Stephens and his wife, Harriet, led the commemorations in the gardens and were filmed laying a wreath.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the attack, carried out by Islamist terrorists on behalf of Osama Bin Laden, including 67 Britons.
