Andy Burnham must slash green levies on bills if he wants to tackle industrial energy costs, manufacturers say.
The new Prime Minister announced that VAT will be dropped on domestic energy bills for six months from October.
The move was welcomed, although its funding was questioned. Energy leaders also said there was “much more work still to do” to bring down the UK’s sky-high costs.
