Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney declares Albertans have made 'clear choice' as independence bid rejected
Mark Carney has issued a defiant statement after residents of Alberta overwhelmingly rejected a bid to "leave" Canada.
The Prime Minister said Albertans have made a "clear choice" after 76 per cent voted to "remain" in the non-binding referendum.
A little over 20 per cent of Albertans voted in favour of the province moving forward with a binding vote on separation.
