Deaths feared amid 'tragic incident' on Essex beach as lifeboats and emergency services rush to scene
Emergency services rushed to West Mersea beach, near Colchester, last night after multiple people got into difficulty in the water. Fatalities are feared following what has been described as a "tragic incident" at the popular Essex beach. Police and HM Coastguard were first scrambled to the scene at approximately 5.30pm.
