Experts hail 2,000-year-old burial chest as first 'direct connection' to Jesus Christ
A limestone burial chest dating back 2000 years is being hailed as the most important archaeological discovery ever linked to Jesus Christ's era.
The artefact, known as the James Ossuary, measures about 1'9" long and 10" across, and bears an inscription in ancient Aramaic reading "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus."
Investigators also retrieved bone fragments from inside the container.
