Face coverings to be banned in major British city within days - but burkas will be exempt
Some face coverings are set to be banned in a major British city within a matter of days in what police have billed as a crime crackdown.
Police and community protection officers in Nottingham will have the authority to demand balaclavas and "skeleton masks" be removed where they have reasonable grounds to believe the coverings are being used to hide someone's identity for criminal or antisocial purposes.
