Former Premier League star accused of selling fake Covid vaccination certificates
Former Premier League star Edson Alvarez has been accused of selling fake Covid vaccination certificates.
Mexican filmmaker Juan Jose Lopez Ordonez accused the midfielder and his former father-in-law, Jonathan Toache Bedolla, of selling the documents for upwards of £370 a piece.
The allegation, made at a press conference on Thursday, is the second time Ordonez has publicly targeted the Hammers player in recent weeks.
In September, the film producer claimed Bedolla's family had forced him into a vehicle at gunpoint in Mexico City in 2024, alleging Alvarez knew about the kidnapping despite not being directly involved.

The scheme allegedly allowed a number of public figures to circumvent pandemic-era travel restrictions by obtaining proof of vaccination without actually receiving the jab.
