Hundreds of Britons evacuated after 250kg US WW2 'bomb' found at UK dockyard
Hundreds of Britons have been evacuated from their homes two days after a suspected World War Two bomb was found at a UK dockyard. The ordnance, which is believed to be a 250kg American bomb, was discovered at Falmouth Docks in Cornwall on Monday. A 750-metre cordon is now in place and residents have been told to leave their homes. Superintendent Vicky Howell said the cordon around Falmouth Docks had been extended
