Public-led judging of immigration appeals may be 'dominated by migration activists', commentator warns
Journalist David Shipley has warned that Shabana Mahmood's plan to have members of the public oversee asylum appeals will be "dominated" by "migration activists".
Speaking to GB News, Mr Shipley said: "I think I would probably trust the the average member of the great British public actually to be better than the average migration judge. But I think the problem with this system is it will not be 12 average people.
