Scientists warn zero-sugar swap may not be protecting you against diabetes
Reaching for a diet fizzy drink instead of a full-sugar alternative may offer no protection against type 2 diabetes, according to new research published today in the European Journal of Nutrition.
The study, led by Sara Beigrezaei at the Julius Centre for Health Sciences and Primary Care, University Medical Centre Utrecht, examined data from 2,612 adults participating in a large cohort based in Amsterdam.
