NEWSDECK ANALYSIS
The USS Lincoln is a US Navy aircraft carrier that has been deployed for extended periods, which can take a significant toll on the mental health of its crew members. Serving at sea for long periods can be particularly demanding due to the isolation and confinement of a ship environment. The acknowledgement of mental health as a priority by a high-ranking commander like Adm Brad Cooper reflects a growing recognition of the importance of supporting the wellbeing of military personnel.
